How does your media product represent particular social groups?
I feel that i based my magazine on other types of music magazine i research or read that aim their target audience at young adults wanting to listen to pop and mainstream music.
One of which is Billboard magazine, which in this issue features Pop star Rihanna on the front, who i have also featured and mentioned in my magazine.
My model looks like she should be in a pop magazine, she is dressed in a black tshirt and bright red lipstick with matching red hair which is similar to what Rihanna is doing above.
The features on my front cover represent this type of people, such as festival like V Festival and Creamfields which are mainstream and dance type festivals. Like the crowd seen to the left here at V Festival. These festivals also attract a generally younger crowd of people from 16-26 which is the same for my music magazine.
The contents page has many features such as "The Brits" which is a music awards ceremony, feauturing mainly mainstream bands. My use of text and features on the front page, contents and double page spread respresents the particular social group i am aiming my magazine at as it has similar music tastes ad fashions to what you would expect of someone listening to mainstream and pop music.
